CHILDREN’S CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

The Children's Christian Education Program at The Peoples Church offers many opportunities for children from infants through 5th grade. We encourage our children to be involved in worship, fellowship and education! We invite your family to check us out and become involved in any of the programs we offer.

We have recently update and decorated our classrooms to create a fun learning environment. For everyone’s safety, masks are required in the classrooms for both students, volunteers and teachers. Please contact our Children's Christian Education Director, Alexa Hayes-Murray, for more information!

SUNDAY PROGRAMS

Carol Choir (9:30-10:15 a.m. in Room 302) -Our children's choir, directed by Elizabeth Reed, is for students ages 5 years through 5th grade. Carol Choir performs in worship throughout the school year. No singing experience needed to join! Rehearsals take place on the third floor of the church. We are currently preparing for our virtual spring program. Please email any questions to Elizabeth Reed!

Sunday School - Children go up to Sunday School after the Children’s Moment during the 10:30 a.m. service. It is a wonderful opportunity for young children to learn age-appropriate Bible lessons, do a craft, and connect with one another.

For infants and toddlers, childcare is provided beginning at 10:15 a.m. on the second floor. The classroom is supervised by fully vaccinated and CPR trained professionals from our nationally accredited Peoples Church Preschool.

Here at The Peoples Church, noises and wiggling are signs of a church that is alive and growing. Your entire family is welcome in worship if children would like to remain in the sanctuary with you.

SUMMER PROGRAMMING

The Peoples Church has long been a host church for Vacation Bible School, a week-long program where children learn about loving their neighbors and loving the world around them through Bible stories and educational lessons.

Both in VBS and our summer camp programming, children go on field trips, learn about things like wild animals from a visiting naturalists, make nice arts and crafts to take home with them, and learn how to perform through songs, dances, and plays.
