COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MINISTRY

At The Peoples Church, we believe that serving the community is an integral part of spirituality. As part of that dedication, we’ve created a number of ways to enrich the spiritual lives of those in our community and beyond, through education, worship, fellowship and outreach.

The Community Engagement Ministry committee at The Peoples Church donates money and encourages the congregation to respond to issues of Christian concern locally, nationally and internationally. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the church has partnered with and supported local food banks, homeless ministries and housing coalitions. The Peoples Church has been a longtime partner with Edgewood Village Non-Profit Housing Corporation. Members tutor residents of all ages, mentor high school students on the path to college, provide donations, help with gardening and sewing projects, and offer transportation to events.
